- How does one send their outgoing mail using the MailGuard locking mailbox? The back of the top door contains a shelf where the outgoing mail is
placed for the mailman to pickup.
- Does the mailperson need a key to deliver my mail? The mailperson doesn't
need a key. The mailperson opens the top door and delivers your mail through the
incoming mail slot. Your mail drops down to a secure locked area and can
be retrieved with the provided key.
- What are the dimensions of the MailGuard mailbox? The overall
dimensions of the MailGuard mailbox is 25" tall x 12" wide x
18" deep.
- How
is the mailbox mounted? The MailGuard mailbox can be mounted on
a 4 x 4 post (wood or otherwise) or mounted against a flat wooden, cement, brick, or
aluminum siding wall.
- What prevents someone from opening the mailbox door and pulling out
the delivered mail? MailGuard is designed in such a way
that one's arm can not reach the locked area which contains the mail.
- Does MailGuard
protect your outgoing mail? The Mailguard protects your outgoing mail. The US Post Master
requires that the mailman be able to retrieve all outgoing mail from
curbside and residential mailboxes without the use of a key.
- Do
you provide a post to mount the MailGuard security mailbox? A post is not provided. MailGuard fits on any 4 x 4 post (wood or otherwise) or
against a flat wooden, cement, brick, or aluminum siding wall.
- Can the
MailGuard locking mailbox be used for business? Yes,
MailGuard is used by many businesses today.
- Can catalogs and phonebooks be delivered to the MailGuard security mailbox?
Yes, MailGuard can accept catalogs and phonebooks, as well as other small
packages.
- What colors does
the MailGuard mailbox come in? Currently, the MailGuard
security mailbox comes in three colors: Black, Green and Beige.
